Mantra assigns more specialised roles and places greater importance on formations. A player may be suitable for a particular flank or tactical position rather than simply being labelled a midfielder. The system supports 11 formations, and using someone outside his natural role can lead to a penalty.
Mantra therefore feels closer to managing a tactical squad, while Classic preserves the traditional auction-and-line-up experience.
7. Can You Play Fantacalcio in English?
Players outside Italy can download the apps and join leagues, but language remains a genuine barrier. The Fantacalcio and Leghe Fantacalcio iOS listings currently identify Italian as the supported language.
An English-speaking group can still learn the main terms or use browser translation for web pages. However, anyone wanting a fully English interface may find other official fantasy football games easier to enter.
8. Fantacalcio vs FPL: Which Is Better?
FPL provides one standard ruleset, fixed player prices and a large overall leaderboard. Fantacalcio is more social and local. Its auction can be an event in itself, while exclusive ownership makes every transfer and rivalry feel personal.
